LYNN'S PRIORITIES

Affordability

Lynn is steadfast in her commitment to advocate for the most efficient use of our city’s taxpayer dollars, ensuring that every dollar is allocated effectively. She prioritizes maintaining high-quality and reliable city services, as well as ensuring all residents have access to the resources they need. With a focus on fiscal responsibility, Lynn is dedicated to removing wasteful spending and fully supports our local businesses, as they are the economic backbone of our city. She understands the importance of nurturing a business-friendly environment that not only supports existing companies but attracts new ones, thereby maintaining a healthy tax revenue stream while also contributing to our city’s unique character. Lynn’s dedication extends to ensuring affordable housing is within reach for everyone, as she works tirelessly to promote a government that is both financially responsible and responsive to our community’s needs. Her vision is one of a thriving, welcoming, and well-managed city where every resident can prosper. 

Investments in Greenspace & Responsible Growth​

Lynn passionately advocates for sensible development with community input to preserve our city’s character and charm. She believes in responsible growth and is dedicated to the preservation of our precious parkland. Lynn will encourage a focus on sustainable land management, harmonize economic expansion with reliable infrastructure, and safeguard our limited greenspace and recreational areas.

Community Engagement & Inclusion​

Lynn has been a powerful advocate for a more inclusive process of community engagement. As a result, the city now has a stronger online presence, facilitates more community conversations, incorporates bilingual communications, and live streams their work sessions. She will continue to champion a more community-friendly capital improvement plan process, seeking to develop engagement strategies that foster a stronger relationship with all members of our community. She firmly believes in empowering the community to have a voice in all projects and participate in the decision-making processing.  She will prioritize public safety, strengthen neighborhoods, enhance the appeal of our entire city, tackle parking issues, and support our teachers, students, and families.

Supporting Our Schools

 Lynn strongly believes in the importance of a top-rated school system. Despite the challenges of recent years, she remains dedicated to fostering collaboration with our School Board to incorporate innovative solutions for success. Lynn is committed to prioritizing the needs of our teachers and students while cultivating an environment of accountability and safety.

Promoting Transparency​

Lynn understands that our Council’s primary role is to represent you. She has questioned the frequency of closed-door meetings and advocated for work sessions to be televised. She has pressed for greater community involvement in our project planning process. Lynn believes in holding our elected officials accountable.  When elected as your Councilwoman, she views it as a privilege and pledges to work tirelessly to ensure that you feel well represented and informed.
